Customs Cottage is a delightful, two bedroom, quirky cottage, sleeping 4 guests and a baby. We have a parking space! No need to drive anywhere, walk and enjoy your break by the sea.
The cottage is a short stroll from Teignmouth town centre, beaches, restaurants and bars. Eat at fish restaurants, enjoy a drink at The Blue Anchor The Ship Inn on Back Beach, or rent a paddle board or take a boat trip out for the day to go out the see seals and dolphins! Then return to the cottage to relax. We try our best to make your stay very enjoyable!
Upon entering, guests find themselves in the open plan ground floor kitchen/living and dining area, a quaint and cosy area with Smart TV, sofa seating and well-equipped kitchen. Up the stairs leads to a landing with a desk and chair. Door into the twin bedroom with iron beds and a lovely vintage wardrobe. Through the door to the hallway is a book and games nook under the stairs and a brand new family bathroom. A second flight of stairs, which is quite narrow and steep, leads up to the second floor with a king-size bed and a brand new en-suite shower room and toilet.
Please note, that if you have visited the cottage before that we have changed the layout, adding a first floor family bathroom and made the bedrooms into private spaces.

There is so much to see and do in the local area. Family activities include the mini golf course on the beach front as well as skate park, pier, activity park, pavilion and of course the beach!
Why not stroll down to Teignmouth back beach, just a ¼ mile down the road, and hire a boat for the day with a bit of mackerel fishing or spend the day catching rays.
Another great thing about the area is that Teignmouth is very central for accessing everywhere else that the wider area has to offer.
Visit the city of Exeter just a 20 minute drive in one direction or through Newton Abbot and onto Torquay, Paignton and Brixham making up the beautiful English Riviera. Dartmouth and Salcombe are also not too far away at around an hour’s drive. Whatever your reason for visiting the area, Customs Cottage is a great place to start your holiday. Beach ¼ mile. Pub and restaurants 120 yards.
